As a subcontractor to Northrop Grumman, Dot21 Real-Time Systems, Inc. developed
Matlab simulations of various radar signal processing functions in the AN/SPS-48E
radar Auxiliary Detection Processor (ADP).
These functions include Moving Target Indicator (MTI) detection, velocity estimation
from in-phase and quadrature (I&Q) data, detection centroiding, range unfolding,
and Doppler velocity unfolding. Data extracted from the tactical ADP was provided
as input to each Matlab simulation. The outputs of the Matlab simulations were
compared to output data extracted from the equivalent real-time ADP functions
to perform software certification.
