OACE (Open Architecture Computing
Environment) Compliant Radar Data Analysis Tools
Building on our extensive experience with radar systems, data analysis and reduction, and publish-subscribe middleware, Dot21 is adding advanced data reduction and visualization capabilities to the AN/SPS-48E radar. Dot21 has tools that provide data analysis and visualization capability for the existing AN/SPS-48E radar. These tools are written in Java for write-once, run-anywhere capability and allow the user to understand how the radar is operating.
We are currently upgrading these tools to be OACE compliant, using the NDDS publish-subscribe middleware from Real-Time Innovations. Our new message translation and extraction tool will capture the radar data, store it for later analysis, and publish it using the NDDS software. Our analysis and visualization tools will use the published and stored data to provide a fully OACE compliant visualization and data analysis capability. Our PowerTool architecture (See diagram below) will allow user-configured visualization of both stored and real-time radar data. This approach supports both legacy radar systems that are not using OACE standards and future radar systems which will. In the diagram below, the gray blocks indicate use of OACE standard-compliant products, including Java, LynxOS (Posix conformant operating system) and NDDS (publish-subscribe middleware).
