Many mission-critical systems require comprehensive built-in diagnostics. Dot21 has a solution for Motorola's MVME-51xx series of PowerPC processors. Dot21, in conjunction with Motorola, developed system-level MBIT (Motorola Built-In Test). We created most of the diagnostic tests, developed the user interfaces, and implemented the overall API's (Application Programming Interfaces). MBIT is designed for Wind River's Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 operating system.

Motorola Built-In Test (MBIT) is an off-the-shelf software infrastructure designed to verify the correct operation of Motorola MVME-51xx boards and enable the incorporation of user-specific system level diagnostics.
